Biography

I have been quilting since April of 2001. I have created traditional pieced quilts, improvisational art quilts and fabric postcards.

In 2004, I enrolled in a textile design class where I learned to dye my own natural fabrics.  I was excited to use that knowledge to enhance my quilts. When I need a specific look or feel that a quilt can be elevated with an original piece of fabric, I can do that by dyeing my own fabric.

In 2006 one of my fabric postcards was featured in Fiber Arts Magazine, showcasing the rise in small art pieces designed to be sent via mail. In 2007, another of my pieces was featured in Fiber Arts magazine with a Valentine’s day theme. The piece was both published and posted on the magazine’s website.

In 2018, a mini quilt I created and entered in another challenge was chosen to be featured in the January 2019 issue of Curated Quilts magazine.

In 2024 my Sands of Time quilt was on display during Road 2 California quilt show in Ontario California. My quilt One is an Exclamation Point and Ten is Crowd hung on display at 2024 QuiltCon in Raleigh/Durham, North Carolina.

I have created, completed and presented several custom pieces in recent years that have met with great satisfaction from each client. I have taken and will continue to study digital design in order to enhance my quilt work.
